Welcome toDishoom Glasgow
…where the shadows of espionage fall long, secrets linger and echoes of ‘Bombay Noir’ flicker on the walls. Dishoom Glasgow has slipped discreetly into a corner of Glasgow’s old Stock Exchange. Inside, 1950s Bombay rumbles: bold, modern, restless – a city alive with the search for identity in a newly independent India.
Open all day, every day, from 29th August, serving Bombay comfort food for breakfast, lunch, dinner and evening tipples. All are welcome.

Food and Drinkat Dishoom Glasgow
Begin your day at Dishoom with breakfast, which might be a Bacon Naan Roll, a stack of Cinnamon-Jaggery Pancakes, or a Parsi Omelette. And perhaps a Dhoble – our most discreet morning tipple – vodka and a furtive dash of orange bitters are concealed within bright citrus. Then, lunch lightly on a Paneer Roll and fancy Salads, or linger with a feast. Refresh your afternoon with a drop of Chai and a small plate or two. Dine early, dine late, or swing by for drinks. Dishoom Margaritas are known for adding an air of smoky mystery to even the most straightforward of proceedings.

HAGGIS PAU
A glorious sight. Richly spiced specially-made Dishoom pork haggis atop hot, buttered buns. Served with a couple of fried eggs, crisp Carluke’s bacon rashers, honeyed chilli chutney, cream cheese and fresh coriander leaves. Much intercontinental fulfilment.

LAMB CHETTINAD & MALABAR PARATHA
This Tamil family favourite is enjoyed heartily in homes across Bombay’s Matunga. Lamb, tender with patient preparation, married well with rich coconut-tomato sauce. Handsomely spiced with black pepper, red chilli and earthy stone flower. Messy contentment of flakiest, butteriest paratha. Rip, dip and top with crunchy onions.

XALLU’S ROB ROY
A lovely drop. Scotch Manhattan with Johnnie Walker Black (covertly fat-washed in clootie butter) and Dishoom Currant Liqueur – stirred, not shaken. Smooth, complex and named for Xallu Vakil, secret agent and unsung hero of Indian Independence.

Miss X, recruited in 1943 at just 16 years of age, held many aliases, never wrote a memoir or gave an interview and has made no exception for us. In fact, she disappeared from this café in 1959.
